Why We Use Soy Wax & More

Being a candle maker, creating a product, is a constant learning process that takes consistent testing and re-testing to ensure the product we deliver is the highest of quality. The components that make up our candles are purposeful. We use soy wax for its renewable and sustainable qualities. This is comparison with paraffin wax, which is literally born from the "sludge" at the bottom of an oil bin then bleached, is a healthy, environmentally friendly alternative that burns clean and slow.

Another component that we use are 100% cotton wicks. Now you might be thinking, what else would a wick be made of? The standard wick in the candle industry used to be a metal (zinc or lead) cored wick which, when burned, releases harmful carcinogens into your home. By using a 100% cotton wick this ensures your candle has a carcinogen free burn life.

Lastly, where the magic comes in, fragrance!  Each fragrance oil we use is high grade, formaldehyde and phthalate free. Phthalates are known to disrupt the body's hormones. We also use 100% essential oils whenever possible and love to source them from our home in Oregon, when possible.
