What Is the Make It Brighter Project?
The Make It Brighter Project is Bridge Nine Candle Co.’s ongoing charitable initiative that pairs select candles with nonprofit partners. For every featured candle sold, a portion of proceeds is donated directly to a highlighted organization.
Inspired by the idea that one candle can light thousands more, the project allows customers to turn moments of calm and self-care into purposeful action — making giving back simple, transparent, and impactful.

🌸 Planned Parenthood
In 2025, Bridge Nine proudly supported Planned Parenthood, an organization dedicated to providing essential reproductive and sexual healthcare, education, and advocacy. Proceeds from the Lady Gray Make it Brighter candle helped support access to care and community health resources at a critical time. With your help we were able to donate $175 to their efforts in 2025! Lady Gray is available to purchase and support Planned Parenthood year round.
🤝 Oregon for All
Another featured partner in 2025 was Oregon for All, a statewide coalition working to advance immigrant and refugee justice. Through education, research, and policy advocacy, Oregon for All strives to build a more welcoming and equitable Oregon — ensuring immigrant communities have the resources and protections they deserve. With your help we were able to donate $65 to their efforts.
🐾 SOS Lost Pet Rescue NW
For the fourth quarter of 2025 (October–December), Bridge Nine highlighted SOS Lost Pet Rescue NW. This volunteer-driven organization rescues abandoned and un-owned cats, providing medical care, spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping, and adoption support — all at no cost to the community. With your help we were able to donate $75 to their efforts.
